About DJ Basket: I am a DJ who started specializing in weddings & private events after attending too many where the DJs were subpar, so I decided to do something about it. I love to make people dance and my mix of music reflects that. I always keep it classy on the mic and provide top notch sound quality. My DJ experiences span many years from rocking house parties to clubs to charity galas to corporate events to weddings. I come from a solid musical background, playing bass for over 12 years and being a jazz studies major in college prepared my ears to make the most tasteful selections. The music I play at any event will cater to the people in attendance without compromising the flow. I can comfortably cover music from the last 50 years from soul to funk to disco to rock, swing, ballroom, 80s, 90s, pop, hip hop, electro, top 40 and international flavors like salsa, samba, and timba. I’m able to mix it all together seamlessly and provide a well concocted blend that fuels nonstop dancing. I take a personal approach to my craft and work with clients closely throughout the whole event planning process to ensure I get 1) the client’s musical vision and 2) sort out all the little details of the reception.  And on your wedding day, I make sure that you remember me only as the background ninja who ran your reception smoothly and provided the tunes for a smashing dance party!
